The Charleston Math & Science Riptide will venture away from home to take on the Academic Magnet Raptors at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Academic Magnet took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Charleston Math & Science, who comes in off a win.

Charleston Math & Science took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They put the hurt on Northwood Academy with a sharp 61-37 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Riptide have posted since January 17th.

Charleston Math & Science can attribute much of their success to Ben Gilliard, who earned 19 points along with six rebounds and five steals, and Zion King, who posted 18 points plus four steals. Another player making a difference was Haasawn Todd, who scored eight points in addition to two steals.

Meanwhile, Academic Magnet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 24th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Porter-Gaud, falling 62-40.

Everything came up roses for Charleston Math & Science against Academic Magnet in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, as the team secured a 62-34 victory.
