Sophomore, Katherine Crowell, Wins Region V-A Meet

Katherine Crowell has put our girls cross country program on the map. We were one girls short of an official girls team this season, but our individual runners have proven themselves fierce competitors. At the region meet, Katherine placed first followed by our 2nd place finisher, Stella Hider. Stella, a 7th grader, shows remarkable talent and we are excited to see what lies ahead for her. Christina Crowell, a sophomore, joined her sister on the winners podium as she came in with a remarkable 5th place finish. Our final runner for the girls, exchange student from Taiwan, Apollo Chang, barely missed the podium as she placed 6th.
For the boys, Max Berry (2nd Place) and Yassell Feria-Lopez (4th place) have been contenders all season. They have helped lead our boys team to being named the #8 team in the STATE! This is a huge accomplishment and we could not be more proud. Congratulations to all of you!
Cross country will travel to Fort Jackson on November 16th for State Qualifiers. Good luck and GO RIPTIDE!
